An open-air gallery

For several years, artists from all over the world have received carte blanche to give Saint-Nazaire its most beautiful shades. While strolling in the streets, one discovers murals of all sizes, signed by graffiti artists come from Chile, Australia, the United States or Brazil. Gathered around the same desire to honour their culture, they intervene in particular during the Les Escales festival, organised every summer since 2015. Among the striking works figures a fresco by the Australian artist Matt Adnate, who represented in 2018 the striking gaze of a young boy of Aboriginal culture. From an oceanic fresco to bewitching faces, via colourful jungles, the street art route composes a lively and changing walk, in encounter with international urban creation.

Around the streets, one comes across faces, landscapes and colourful scenes, the fruit of the Les Escales festival and of international artists.
