The Cat Mansion

This pretty mansion, which you may have noticed from a distance, is quite unlike any other building in the town. Called "The Cat Mansion", it was built in 1926 by Maurice Morguet in a neo-Norman style that contrasts with the usual white stone of La Rochelle. The house owes its name to the ceramic cat perched on its roof. If you stand back and look keenly, you'll see it!
