A fresco signed Haut les Murs

Made in 2017 by the painters of the Haut les Murs collective, this trompe-l'œil fresco adorns a house of the town centre. It represents some of the great historical figures of Dole, of whom the most famous, Louis Pasteur, appears on the second floor, on the left. An explanatory panel, installed opposite the building, allows you to identify the other women and men honoured. It is a fine way to discover, in images, the memory of the city.

What there is to see

The fresco surprises with its realism and its trompe-l'œil effect, which seems to extend the street onto the façade. One amuses oneself by recognising the figures, beginning with Louis Pasteur, and by discovering, thanks to the explanatory panel, the other Dole figures honoured. It is a playful and instructive stop, in the very heart of the city.
