In the album The Seven Crystal Balls, Tintin, accompanied by Snowy and Captain Haddock, goes to Saint-Nazaire to find the trail of Professor Calculus. From this passage was born a lasting link between the city and the work of Herge. To perpetuate it, a local association of enthusiasts had six large comic-strip panels installed, in enamelled metal, measuring five metres high and nearly five metres wide. Placed on the very spots where the story takes place, they reproduce panels of the album and bring back to life a whole part of the past of Saint-Nazaire, when the city was still a starting point for the links towards Central America. An original and touching way to connect the great comic strip to the port memory of the city.

What there is to see

The six monumental enamelled metal panels punctuate the route and invite one to find the scenes of the album on the real spots. Between literary wink and port memory, they will delight Tintin lovers as well as curious walkers. It is a playful and original stage, to discover along the streets of Saint-Nazaire.
