Viewpoint over town

Here comes the pay off for the steep climb ! Isn’t the panorama offered by the Pipet Hill more than exceptional? The antique theater appears from below, unveiling its greatness and its remarkably well preserved state. You can also see the roofs of the city’s houses, the Rhone River and the nearby hills. To your left, in the distance, you can see the mountains of the Pilat Regional Park, while along the Rhône, closer by, are the many vineyards that make up the Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu appellations, just a few kilometers from Vienne. On your right, perched on Salomon Hill, is the “Chateau de la Batie”. It was built during the 13th century and is true testament to the fortifications that surrounded the town during the medieval period.Unfortunately it’s not open to public so you can’t go to it’s topregardless, we can admire it perfectly from here.
