Dating from the end of the fifteenth century, this house was originally built to accommodate a member of the de Villebresme family, a powerful lineage that was in charge of the château of Fougères-sur-Bièvre, not far from Blois. Its Gothic façade, its half-timbering and its sculpted details testify to the refinement of the urban residences of that time, when Blois was establishing itself as a prestigious city.
