Let's face it, Paris has a way of casting a love spell on you. It'll turn you into a hopeless romantic! It wasn't named City of Love for nothing! Lovers from around the world dream of strolling hand-in-hand along its bridges, sharing a kiss at the Eiffel Tower, or simply sitting on a bench in the Buttes Chaumont. The Wall of Love you see here is a tribute to what binds us all together. Love. A truly universal language. The artwork before you was created by Frédéric Baron and Claire Kito. They took a thousand I love you handwritten in every language and decided to replicate them to the letter on 612 glazed lava tiles. In total, there are 311 ways of saying I love you in 250 different languages. From the classics we all know, to lesser-known, even exotic dialects! This wall is meant to bring people together. It reminds us of what we all have in common and invites us to cherish Peace and Love.
