The climate in Saumur is oceanic with a slight continental influence, featuring cool but generally moderate winters, ranging from 2 to 10°C, and mild to warm summers, most often between 24 and 30°C, with possible peaks during heatwaves; the best times to visit are typically from April to June and then from September to October, when temperatures are pleasant, the landscapes of the Loire Valley are particularly beautiful, and conditions are ideal for enjoying the town, the Loire River, and the vineyards in a calmer atmosphere than at the height of summer.
