The Pierced Building
Take a moment to look closely at the corner of the building across from the beautiful Baroque church. You're not imagining things, it really does have a piercing! This bold installation was created in 1996 by a group of young architects from Turin. There’s more to it than just a bit of architectural mischief; it carries a deeper symbolic message. Notice the blood flowing from the wound, it’s red on the side facing the people, towards the street that leads to Porta Palazzo, and blue on the side leading to the palace, the side of the nobility.
