The Bicycle Statue

An original stop on the Riga audio-guided tour, the small bicycle monument is probably the most surprising element of this large park of nearly nine hectares. Do not walk past it as you turn around.

A symbol of friendship

Given in 2011 by the city of Amsterdam and the Dutch embassy, this bicycle celebrates the twentieth anniversary of Latvia's return to independence. It symbolises the friendship between the two countries and a shared commitment to sustainable mobility.
