Here you are in front of Encore, one of the most luxurious hotels on the Strip. It opened in 2008, right next to its twin property. Steve Wynn, the developer behind the Wynn Las Vegas just next door, which opened in 2005, decided to build a second tower beside it to extend the experience. The project was conceived as a kind of sequel to the Wynn, which is exactly where the name Encore comes from. In the world of entertainment, an encore is the moment when a performer comes back on stage after the show to give the audience one more performance. The idea here was the same: to offer a kind of “one more,” a more exclusive continuation of the Wynn Las Vegas. The two properties are also directly connected by an indoor walkway. With more than 2,000 suites spread across 48 floors, Encore is known for its particularly spacious rooms, starting at around 70 square meters, well above the usual standard in Las Vegas. Its casino covers more than 6,000 square meters and includes private gaming salons reserved for high rollers, players who wager very large sums, sometimes several thousand dollars on a single hand or game. The design of the complex, created by Roger Thomas, is easy to recognize, with floral patterns, butterflies, and spectacular red chandeliers hanging above the gaming tables. Encore is also famous for its nightlife, with two of the best-known clubs in Las Vegas, regularly hosting international DJs. Its theater can seat nearly 1,500 spectators for concerts and live performances. Even though prices vary depending on the season, Encore generally remains more expensive than the average hotel on the Strip, reflecting its very high-end positioning.
