Here is Neonopolis, one of the main entertainment hubs of modern Downtown Las Vegas. Opened in 2002, this three-story complex covering nearly 23,000 square meters was designed as an urban entertainment center, complementing the historic casinos around Fremont Street. Its name comes from the long stretches of neon lights that run along the façade and throughout the interior of the building. The concept was simple: create a colorful, lively space open day and night, where people can spend an evening without necessarily stepping into a casino. Inside, you’ll find an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, shows, and unusual activities. The famous Heart Attack Grill draws curious visitors with its massive burgers. Axehole Vegas offers axe throwing, an activity that has become surprisingly popular. The Cat’s Meow is one of the liveliest karaoke spots in Downtown. And on the top floor, Notoriety hosts intimate concerts, comedy shows, and a variety of live performances. Neonopolis is also home to shops that fans of the TV show Pawn Stars may recognize, including Toy Shack and Ultimate Sports Cards & Memorabilia. And for a very Vegas-style experience, the Little Neon Chapel even allows visitors to get married right here. It’s another side of Las Vegas, a little less focused on gambling and more centered on urban entertainment and the local nightlife scene.
