Facing Planet Hollywood stands the innovative Cosmopolitan. Its story is much more recent, as it opened in 2010 after a construction project that cost about 3.9 billion dollars. One of its distinctive features on the Strip is that it does not follow a specific theme. Instead, it focuses on modernity, innovation, and elegance, with the goal of attracting a younger and more dynamic crowd. The interior design was created by David Rockwell, an internationally recognized architect and designer known for his creative and contemporary projects. One of the highlights of The Cosmopolitan is the famous Chandelier bar, which rises through three different levels and sparkles with nearly two million suspended crystals, creating a spectacular atmosphere and one of the most recognizable meeting spots in the resort. When it comes to dining, The Cosmopolitan is also known for its impressive collection of restaurants led by renowned chefs, including David Chang with Momofuku and José Andrés with Jaleo, among many others. The complex also offers a luxury pool area, a spa, and nightclubs such as Marquee Nightclub, which has become one of the most profitable and popular nightclubs in the United States. It is also a destination for art lovers, with artists in residence and contemporary art installations displayed throughout the property. In short, The Cosmopolitan has quickly established itself on the Strip by attracting visitors looking for a modern and refined experience that combines luxury, gastronomy, entertainment, and art all in one place.
