The Trinity Church
The Salzburg audio-guided tour invites you to quiet contemplation before the Trinity Church, on the Makartplatz. It is the largest church of the historic centre, and its dome can be recognised from afar in the sky of the city.
A work of Fischer von Erlach
Built between 1694 and 1702, the Trinity Church is inspired by the church of Sant'Agnese in Rome. It was the architect Fischer von Erlach who conceived it and gave it this fine baroque style that does not go unnoticed. Its dome, visible from many places in the city, has become one of the landmarks of Salzburg. The building testifies to the influence of Italian baroque art in this city deeply marked by the Roman influence.
