The Ghent audio-guided tour invites you to look up at three mischievous little statuettes, Lena, Nestor and Luna, the Ghent and humorous version of the famous Manneken Pis.

Four Manneken Pis in Ghent

If Brussels takes pride in its Manneken Pis, Ghent has no fewer than four. Above an entrance door stand three statuettes: in the centre, the oldest, the Manneken Pis Nestor, framed by two Meisjes Pis, literally "two girls who pee". Named Lena and Luna, these female figurines were added in 2014, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of a local association; they are the work of a Belgian artist who took as models real Ghent twins. The fourth Manneken Pis, apart from its companions, is a little higher up on the quay, near the Museum of the House of Alijn.

What there is to see

Lena, Nestor and Luna offer an amusing and tender wink, to be spotted above a door along the walk. These mischievous statuettes testify to the playful spirit of Ghent and its taste for small unusual details. It is a playful stop, ideal for going on a hunt for the four Manneken Pis scattered in the city.
