More than four centuries of tradition

Created in 1594, the Liège Fair is the oldest funfair still active in Belgium. Originally held in November, it has taken place in October since 1871, and has been set up on Boulevard d'Avroy since 1854. For more than four centuries it has drawn whole generations of Liège people and visitors, carrying on a tradition deeply rooted in the city.

What there is to see

For five weeks, more than a kilometre of boulevard fills with lights, rides and the smell of treats. The fair blends traditional attractions and novelties, in a popular, family atmosphere. Outside the season, the boulevard recovers its calm, but the spot remains tied to this great autumn event that punctuates the life of the city.
