Viewpoint from the Citadel

Not a season goes by without the citadel offering its most stunning panoramic views of the Walloon capital. Perched 190 meters above the city, the view truly knows no bounds. Below, you can see the vast spread of old Namur’s rooftops, with the blue-green dome of Saint-Aubin Cathedral standing out clearly. Slightly to the right, you might spot a rocky area known as the Asty Moulin quarries. It was from this very place that “Meuse Stone” was once extracted—a key material used in building the citadel. Here’s a tip: keep your eyes wide open and snap some spontaneous photos before you head back down to earth!
