We'd like to take a short break in our tour to introduce you to all the other points of interest that we weren't able to include in our itinerary. One of Vancouver's highlights is its impressive Stanley Park. Covering over 400 hectares, it can be visited by bike, by foot or by car, but you'll need several days to see it all. The most interesting is undoubtedly the section dedicated to its magnificent totem poles. Another of the city's landmarks is the Granville Island market. This former industrial peninsula is dedicated to relaxation and entertainment. Its covered market is the ideal place to discover local and world cuisine. The town also offers beautiful beaches, where you can swim in summer, or just spend the day reading, picnicking or playing beach volley. If museums are your thing, the city is home to several fine ones. Science World, for aspiring scientists, is particularly popular among families. Moving away from the city, don't miss the Capilano Park Suspension Bridge, one of the best-known sites around Vancouver. In addition to the mythical suspension bridge, you can take the cliff walk, picnic under the fir trees, go treetop adventure climbing, as well as discover interpretation centers retracing the culture of the people of the First Nations and the history of the first settlers. And if you've got time to explore the region a little, or if you're heading for Whistler, then enjoy a leisurely drive along the famous Sea to Sky Highway. Its 120 kilometers run along the ocean fjord to the snow-capped peaks of the legendary Whistler ski resort. Beware ! The road - and its hiking trail, because you can hike there- is riddled not with pitfalls, but with as many wonders as you can afford to stop at! Well, with all this, you've got plenty of things to do, if you feel like staying in the area for a while.
