A Baroque sanctuary dedicated to the patron saint

Initially built in the fourteenth century, the Church of Saint Blaise no longer appears today in its original form. After the earthquake of 1667, then a fire some forty years later, a Venetian architect rebuilt it in 1715, taking inspiration from the church of San Maurizio in his native city. Dedicated to Saint Blaise, protector of Dubrovnik, it preserves a fine icon of the saint as well as a model of the city as it was before the earthquake. Its staircase, appreciated for taking a break, above all invites one to enter this recollected sanctuary in the heart of the city.
