For centuries, the Foša separated the island city from the continent; today, it unites instead of dividing. By observing the shape of the structure, you recognise the inverted hull of a ship, a tribute to the naval construction tradition that made the reputation of Trogir. Entirely realised in steel at the shipyard of Vranjic, the footbridge was laid in a single block, in one day only, a remarkable technical feat. Its asymmetrical and openwork silhouette was thought to blend into the historic landscape, without masking the surrounding monuments. At night, its light lines and its metallic patina are reflected in the water, offering Trogir a new postcard, resolutely contemporary, that dialogues harmoniously with the ramparts and the bell towers of the old town.
