History

The square was then rebuilt, but again damaged during the battle of Copenhagen in 1807, targeted by the British bombings. After being rebuilt once more, it hosted for some fifty years a covered market, then a bunker and parking spaces. Become pedestrian in 1968, it transformed into the fine square that it is today, increasingly frequented by students who like to settle there to relax.
