Advice

We'd like to take a quick break from your tour to introduce all the other points of interest that couldn't be included in the itinerary. As you will have noticed during your visit to the centre, the Beatles are everywhere in Liverpool. However, if you're a fan of the Fab 4, there are two places you'll want to see: Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields, the real-life settings behind these iconic songs.!

If you want to explore the city thematically, read our dedicated article. Alternatively, you can take the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour, a psychedelic bus that will take you on a 2-hour tour of all the places in Liverpool linked to the Beatles! Needless to say, the city's other undisputed star is football.

Liverpool's identity has become inextricably linked to its legendary football club and it’s anthem “You’ll never walk alone”. If you are a football fan, you can’t visit the city without visiting Anfield stadium, home of Liverpool Football Club. Golf fans know that the Liverpool region is a world-class destination for golf.

The region is home to what is known as the English Golf Coast, with 12 of Britain's finest courses, as well as seven courses ranked in the top 100 courses in the UK and Ireland. Another must-see is the Baltic Triangle, an alternative and creative district of the city at its finest! Here you'll find the famous Liverpool Wings, a popular photo stop for Instagrammers, as well as Cains Brewery Village, the historic brewing site for the city's signature Cains beer.

The site has been transformed into an entertainment venue with a thriving food scene and cultural events. You'll find plenty of bars and restaurants, a cinema, a hotel and incredible venues like Getto Golf, a mini golf course in a cocktail bar covered in street art and hosting the city's best DJs. There is also the Peaky Blinder's tavern, where you can immerse yourself in the world of the hit series; the Baltik Market, which is the city's best food court, where you can find street food from all over the world in a warm, festive atmosphere.

If you've still got a day ahead of you and fancy getting out of the city, why not take a trip to the beach? I know that when you go to England, you don't immediately think of the seaside. Yet, less than 30 minutes north of Liverpool, you'll find Crosby Beach, a huge beach where the locals walk their dogs and where you're sure to get a breath of fresh air along the wild expanse.

When it comes to culture, hold on tight, because Liverpool is said to have one of the most impressive museum collections in Europe! See the Liverpool city advice section of our website for more information on the city's various museums and other activities.
