The Cavern Club, in Liverpool

The Cavern Club is the mythical club where the Beatles made their official debuts and were discovered by their producer Brian Epstein. The Liverpool audio-guided tour stops here to evoke this small legendary hall of Mathew Street, where the group performed nearly three hundred times between 1961 and 1963, and that also hosted the Rolling Stones, Queen or Elton John.

The cradle of the legend of the Beatles

Here you are in front of the famous Cavern Club. You certainly know it, it is here that the Beatles made their official debuts, after warming up on the stages of Hamburg. It is in this small vaulted hall, in the basement of Mathew Street, that their future producer Brian Epstein discovered them. Subsequently, they did not slack off: in barely three years, between 1961 and 1963, they performed at the Cavern nearly three hundred times. During its fine years, the Cavern also hosted other mythical groups, like the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Queen, The Who or Pink Floyd. In short, an era when you would have liked to live in Liverpool and hang out at the Cavern, in the burning and electric atmosphere of this mythical club. The original building was unfortunately demolished in 1973, but the show must go on: the place was rebuilt at the same spot, almost identically, partly reusing the original bricks. Today, the Cavern Club continues to make the walls vibrate, offering live concerts every day, in the pure Liverpudlian tradition.
