The Queen's Walk, a promenade along the Thames

The London audio-guided tour has you reach Tower Bridge via the Queen's Walk, a pleasant path that runs along the Thames. This section is part of a great pedestrian route laid out along the river, much prized by walkers.

A path born of the Olympic Games

The Queen's Walk links Tower Bridge, the most emblematic bridge of London, to the London Eye, located nearly four kilometres away. It is part of a sixty-kilometre pedestrian route, completed in 2012 on the occasion of the London Olympic Games, designed to link the Olympic sites to the parks and attractions of the city. Today, this promenade remains very busy, notably on this riverside section.

What there is to see

Along the Queen's Walk, the gaze takes in the Thames, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London on the opposite bank and the skyscrapers of the City. The promenade, lively with cafés, street artists and viewpoints, offers one of the finest ways to discover London along the water. It is an ideal route to link the great monuments of the centre on foot.

Practical information

The Queen's Walk runs along the south bank of the Thames, up to Tower Bridge, in London. This pedestrian promenade is freely accessible at all hours and on the level. Very busy, it is particularly pleasant during the day and in the early evening.
