A history going back to 1761

The history of the house begins in 1761, when Monsieur Delcourt sets up on Rue Esquermoise as a confectioner-chocolatier. The house became famous for its vanilla-filled waffle, its emblematic speciality, which made its reputation well beyond Lille. The shop and its front, a true decorative jewel, have been listed as historic monuments since 1980.
