The Promenade du Paillon

A green stop on the Nice audio-guided tour, the Promenade du Paillon looks, from above, like a huge green carpet unrolled through the city. This gigantic urban park links the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art to the Promenade des Anglais.

The green corridor

Nicknamed the green corridor, the promenade flows along the Paillon, a watercourse that crossed Nice and was partially covered from the nineteenth century. About a thousand Mediterranean and worldwide plantings, as well as themed zones on the four continents, take the walker on a journey through varied botanical atmospheres.

What to see

The vast water mirror covering nearly three thousand square metres delights children in summer. Between fountains, play areas and themed gardens, the Promenade du Paillon is a green lung in the heart of Nice, ideal for a break in the open air.
