You’re now entering the English Garden—one of the largest urban parks in the world! Covering over 400 hectares, it’s safe to say we won’t be walking through the entire garden today… If you're looking for a peaceful stroll or a picnic surrounded by nature, you’re in the right place! With 78 kilometres of trails, the English Garden is the perfect spot for a walk along the canal, far from the city’s hustle and bustle. As you explore the park, you’ll come across a Japanese teahouse, a small Greek-style temple, a tall Chinese tower, and many charming monuments and statues that add to the garden’s unique atmosphere. The lake and canal are popular swimming spots during hot summer days, and they also offer a range of water activities. You can even surf here, thanks to the artificial waves in the canal! If you'd rather relax with a drink in the shade, no worries—the park is home to several Biergärten, which are open-air beer gardens, sure to delight any beer lover.
