Before you stretches one of Santorini’s most breathtaking views: the caldera, unfolding in all its dramatic beauty. The land collapsed into the sea, leaving behind this vast water-filled crater. In the middle you can spot two dark islets, Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni—still-active volcanoes that have been slowly rising from the sea over the centuries.
