View from the minaret

This is the ideal spot for an overview of the Koutoubia Mosque and, above all, its 69-metre-high minaret, 77 metres if its spire is included. Built much later than the rest of the mosque, this minaret served as a model for the design of the Giralda minaret in Seville, a former Almohad mosque. As the highest building in the city, it helps the thousands of tourists who visit Marrakech to find their way around the narrow streets of the Medina. We recommend taking a snapshot here, in front of one of the most important and beautiful monuments in the Ochre City!
