History

By looking closely, you see that the structure is composed of a circular platform suspended by three large rods, themselves supported by a concrete mast in the shape of a knot, or laço in Portuguese, a nod to the mooring ring of the boats. From the top of the bridge, pedestrians, cyclists and people with reduced mobility can quietly watch the moliceiros pass, these wildly colourful boats so attached to the history of Aveiro.
