The Chapel of Souls

Tucked among the street’s liveliness and brands of all kinds, you’ll find one of Porto’s most delightful churches. Here since the beginning of the 18th century, the striking Chapel of Souls will simply amaze you for its creative facades. In addition to the interior, what makes this site so beautiful are the 16000 azulejos, typical Portuguese glazed tiles. Added in 1929, this spectacular 360-square-metre mural recounts the life of Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Catherine, both of whom are honoured here.
