Trubarjeva cesta, the most colourful street

A tribute to Primož Trubar

The name of the street pays tribute to Primož Trubar, the father of the written Slovenian language, author of the first books printed in Slovenian in the sixteenth century. But Trubarjeva is best known for its atmosphere: its façades are covered with frescoes, graffiti and collages, and you can even see shoes hanging above the street. It is a concentrate of the creative and alternative spirit of Ljubljana.
