Let’s take a quick break to tell you about some other points of interest that couldn’t be included in the itinerary. If you still have some time in San Sebastian, I recommend heading to Mount Igueldo. Not only will you enjoy a stunning view over the bay, but you’ll also find a charming vintage amusement park at the top! To get there, just hop on the funicular, one of the oldest in the region. While you're in the area, check out the "Comb of the Wind", one of the city’s most iconic sculptures, located at the base of the mountain. Next up is Miramar Palace, built in 1888 for Queen Maria Christina. Designed in the style of an English cottage and surrounded by beautiful gardens, it offers spectacular views over the bay. San Sebastian is also home to several museums, such as the San Telmo Museum, which takes you through the city’s rich history. Sports fans should visit the Real Sociedad stadium, home to a museum dedicated to the city’s beloved football club. The Eureka! Science Museum is a favourite among families, thanks to its interactive exhibits and hands-on experiments. If you’re interested in the sea, the Naval Museum explores San Sebastian’s maritime heritage. Fashion lovers will enjoy the Cristobal Balenciaga Museum, which traces the life and work of one of the most iconic fashion designers in the world. If you’re craving some nature, head to Cristina Enea Park, a green oasis where you can escape the bustle of the city without actually leaving it, full of lush flora and wildlife. It's also worth exploring the surrounding region and its charming diversity. Villages like Azpeitia and its sanctuary, Segura, Getaria, and Hernani are all beautiful and worth exploring. Of course, don’t miss the stunning city of Bilbao and its world-famous Guggenheim Museum, known for its striking architecture and exceptional art collections. If Mounts Urgull and Igueldo have inspired you to do more walking, you’ll love the Aiako Harria Natural Park. It offers beautiful hiking trails, and if you’re cycling, you can reach it directly from San Sebastian via the Arditurri Greenway. Finally, make sure you take time to savour the region’s outstanding cuisine, it’s an essential part of its identity. As you can tell, you’ll have plenty to see and do if you decide to stay in the area a little longer!
