A museum at the crossroads of three continents

Housed in a Neoclassical 18th-century building, the CAAM has exhibited since 1989 contemporary works by Canarian, Spanish and foreign artists, notably from America, Europe and Africa. This openness reflects the influence of these three continents on the Canary Islands, a land of passage in the middle of the Atlantic. The museum is particularly devoted to the avant-gardes of the 20th century.

What there is to see

Lovers of the painter Lujan Perez will discover the works of Canarian painters attached to his school, dating from the 1930s and 1940s. Through the rooms of this former Neoclassical mansion, the visitor explores a panorama of modern and contemporary art, between local creations and perspectives from the three continents bordering the Atlantic.
