This square has hosted a market since the Middle Ages, but it only became a covered market in 1916. Today, it’s a true temple of Madrid’s culinary scene. You’ll find a thousand tapas to try and countless stalls brimming with Spanish specialities. This is the place for top-quality cured meats, the finest cheeses, and exceptional wines.
