View on the Tagus River

You’ve probably spotted it from afar. It surrounds the city with its green waters. Yes, here’s the star of the region, the Tagus River ! The longest of the Iberian Peninsula, it spans from Spain down to Portugal, before pouring into the Atlantic sea, near Lisbon. Legend has it that Heracles, son of Zeus, would have traced the Tagus River around Toledo with his sword.
