Agrippa-d'Aubigné Terrace

Built as a tribute to Théodore Agrippa d'Aubigné—a writer, poet, historian, and major figure of the Protestant Reformation—this terrace offers a breathtaking view over Geneva’s rooftops. You can even catch a glimpse of the famous Jet d’Eau, Geneva’s soaring water fountain, spraying high into the air from a jetty further out. Just in front of you, you’ll see the Madeleine Temple, one of Geneva’s oldest churches. Its bell tower still bears a historic clock which has been classified as a protected heritage object, although it no longer works properly. This contemporary terrace, lined with Japanese cherry trees, is the perfect spot to take a short break away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, and to admire Geneva from a different angle.
