From wooden to stone fountains

It was in the 1550s that the municipality replaced its wooden fountains with more artistic stone works. This one depicts an officer in armour bearing the banner of the crossbowmen's guild, abolished in 1799. A bear cub, at his feet, points its weapon towards the former offices of the shooting club.
