In place of the old Parliament

The covered market was built in 1883, on the site of the old Parliament of the city, which had stood there since 1422. Built of brick, cast iron, glass and iron, in the taste of the halls of the end of the nineteenth century, it houses the stalls of a market that gathers the good products of the Jura terroir. There you find notably the famous Morteau and Montbéliard sausages, jewels of Comté gastronomy.
