A story of ingenuity and survival
The Nancy macaron was born at the end of the eighteenth century, from a story of ingenuity and survival. Two nuns, whose convent was closed during the Revolution, took refuge in Nancy and made macarons to subsist. Their recipe, simple and tasty, met with great success, and these nuns passed into posterity under the name of the Macaron Sisters. The tradition has been perpetuated to this day.
