San Bartolomé Chapel

To your right stands the San Bartolomé Chapel, a beautiful example of Mudéjar architecture, built between the 14th and 15th centuries. This style blends Christian and Muslim elements, unmistakable in the chapel’s intricate design. The interior walls are lined with colourful glazed tiles, adding a refined elegance that reflects the influence of Arabic art. The chapel is part of the building that now houses the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature, formerly the Cardinal Salazar Hospital.
