From the Southbank promenade, you have a superb view of Melbourne's CBD. Skyscrapers tower over the Yarra River, while the Flinders Street Station sprawls across the other bank. If you're keen to see this view from higher up, be sure to visit the Skydeck Eureka tower, just 300 metres behind you on Riverside Quay. Like most observation towers, it's not free of charge, but the breathtaking views from its 88th floor are worth every penny. If you want to test your limits, step onto the glass-floored telescopic platform and feel like you're walking on air! A must-do at sunset, to watch the city come to life as night falls.
