Nîmes enjoys a Mediterranean climate marked by very hot, dry summers, where temperatures regularly exceed 32°C, and mild winters with daytime averages around 10°C. To enjoy its Roman gems, such as the Arena, without suffering from the scorching heat, the best times to visit are spring (April to June) and early autumn (September and October), months during which the weather is ideal for strolling through the Jardins de la Fontaine. The Pentecost weekend also remains an unmissable time to experience the excitement of its famous Feria under what is generally a radiant sun.
No need to worry about where to begin! Our tours are designed as a loop, so you can jump in wherever you are. The navigation system and audioguide will automatically adjust to your location. However, if you happen to be nearby, we do have a preferred starting point : in front of Saint-Baudile Church.
Porte Auguste Parking Lot : at no.12 Boulevard Etienne Saintenac If you're looking for parking in downtown Nîmes, I'd recommend underground parking lots, which are easier to access. Alternatively, you can try your luck in on-street parking, which is divided into 2 zones: the red zone in the hypercentre, which is more expensive than the green zone. You can also opt for one of the park-and-ride facilities on the periphery and reach the center of Nîmes via public transport.
